Setting up your email account in Windows Mail

Follow these easy instructions to setup your email account using Microsoft Windows Mail that is provided free with Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7.

Quick and Easy Steps:

  1. Open Windows Mail
  2. Select Tools > Accounts
  3. Click ADD
  4. Select E-Mail Account
  5. Enter your Display Name
  6. Enter your Email Address
  7. Select IMAP from the Server Type Drop Down
  8. Enter mail.yourdomain.com (change yourdomain.com with your domain name) into the Incoming and Outgoing server fields
  9. Select Outgoing Server Requires Authentication
  10. Enter your full email address as your username
  11. Enter your password
  12. Click Next, Then Finish
